# MEV Boost

## What is MEV Boost?

Historically, retail LPs suffer from MEV & Arb bots. Now you can MEV them back and boost your own PnL. MEV Boost is HawkFi's high frequency liquidity model that MEVs and Arbs toxic flow bots back to enhance your trading PnL, while you earn LP fees.

## Why does my bin shape look different?

That means MEV boost is working its magic and high-frequency arbing toxic flow for you to improve trading PnL while printing LP fees. MEV boost automatically optimizes trade-offs between fee capture & trading PnL (positive IL) to enhance your overall DLMM position PnL

## How does MEV Boost work

1. **Capturing the arbitrage opportunity using your position's liquidity**

   MEV Boost can use an LP position's liquidity to pursue cross-pool arbitrage opportunities when the same asset is priced differently elsewhere. Successful execution can become an additional potential source of position returns.
2. **Removing liquidity from bins where the next flow could be net-negative for your position**

   MEV Boost can remove liquidity from "toxic" bins. These are bins where anticipated flow may be net-negative for the LP position—for example, where adverse selection or impermanent loss could outweigh collected fees. This can reduce exposure to unfavourable trades, but it does not eliminate MEV, impermanent loss, or adverse selection.
3. **Re-quoting liquidity around the active bin**

   After an arbitrage, MEV Boost can requote liquidity around the active bin to seek a more favourable buy-low, sell-high spread on subsequent LP trades.

## Enable MEV Boost

Turn on `MEV Boost` when creating an eligible Meteora DLMM LP position. HawkFi may also show Dashboard, site-wide, or home prompts for enabling MEV Boost on eligible existing positions or future deposits.

A Dashboard bulk action applies MEV Boost only to eligible positions and summarizes positions that were skipped or could not be updated.

MEV Boost is an added capability for an LP position. It is not a standalone HawkFi Model or HawkFi Agent.

## Share MEV Boost results

PnL cards for supported MEV Boost positions may include a MEV Boost badge, attribution, estimated uplift, and landed-arbitrage count when those values are available. Profit and automation visibility settings control whether those details appear or are masked.
